Current Pregnancy Skincare & Makeup Routine

Throughout my pregnancy I’ve noticed a lot of body, facial and skin changes. From the baby bump growing to major nose swelling, and my skin going from normally being super dry around this time of year to more of a combination. Today I’m walking you through what my current daily routine looks like, and products from Yves Rocher that have been great for my skin!

SKINCARE

I’ve modified almost everything in my life according to what has worked best for me and my body, but one thing I refused to give up was a proper skincare routine. Yves Rocher’s Hydra Vegetal collection has worked well for me, because it is designed to add + balance moisture levels, as the two botanicals, maple and blue agave sap, work together to boost the hydration in your skin.

This line has simple yet very effective products, which has been beneficial for me because it cuts my time in half and allows me to use these four products to keep my skin healthy and glowing.

Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Hydrating Micellar Water 2-in-1: I’ve been using micellar water as part of my routine for YEARS now, and this past year I’ve really been enjoying this one from Yves Rocher — I think I’m on my third bottle now! It works tremendously well to remove face and eye makeup at the end of the day, but I also like to use it when I wake up to remove any gunk or excess oil from sleeping, to start my routine fresh in the morning.

Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Radiance Exfoliating Gel: Whenever I look at the price-point for this. I’m always shocked that for $10/bottle, you can get an exfoliating gel that works to remove dead skin cells and impurities, only requires a little bit of product to go a looong way, and smooths out the texture of your skin over time! There is a hydration activator called edulis cellular water in this gel that helps store water in all the layers of your skin, and releases it for continuous hydration. So neat!

Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal Ultra-Fresh Cleansing Gel: Similarly to the exfoliating gel, this cleansing gel also has the same edulis cellular water that stores and releases water over time. I use this cleansing gel twice daily (morning + night) to wash my face and remove any traces of makeup/impurities/dirt, while the exfoliating gel is recommended to be used 1-2 times per week.

Yves Rocher Hydra Vegetal 48HR Non-Stop Moisturizing Rich Cream: I apply this cream every morning after thoroughly washing my face and before applying my makeup. It truly keeps my skin moisturized all day and I never feel a pinch of dryness! At night time once I go through my cleansing routine again, I’ll apply a little bit before bedtime.

Aside from pampering myself to a mask, longer bath and other fun things once or twice a week, this sums up my skincare routine on a daily basis! I’ve minimized a lot of steps and kept it basic because I didn’t want to add too much for my skin to react differently, and I also try to be mindful of adding too much hydration or ways for product to build up and create excess oils.

MAKEUP

Battling between some long insomniac nights (hello, nigh-time owl baby!) and trying to get a bit more zZzz’s before I need to begin my day, my priorities have slightly shifted and I need to make sure I have time to eat a good breakfast, pack any snacks/meals I need for the day and get in a daily walk or a bit of exercise. However, one thing I still refuse to do is NOT wear makeup… even if it’s a little bit.

No one wants to look like a zombie (especially with the messed up sleeping schedule), so here is a daily makeup routine I’ve perfected that works well for me and can get me out the door in less than 30 minutes:
