Toronto & GTA friends, if you haven’t been to the newest Shoppers Drug Mart location at Yonge and Dundas square, you need to put some time in your schedule to go and explore! This 3-storey building has a lot to offer outside of the usual drugstore necessities, and the beauty department on the ground floor takes things to a whole new level.
Shoppers Drug Mart has always been the best at having an immaculate selection of drugstore makeup and skincare products. However, the launch of Beauty Boutique a few years ago along with the introduction of some high end luxury brands has turned this chain into your one-stop shop for all things beauty!
One of my favourite features inside the new Shoppers Drug Mart location are the beauty counters around the floor. This helps you get comfortable, gives you a chance to play with makeup and get a consultation from the beauty experts! I was able to spend 15 minutes at the Stila counter, exploring the brand’s face products and swatching lipstick shades that I liked without any trouble at all.
I change my skincare routine almost seasonally, and because I’m currently pregnant I’ve noticed my skin change A LOT in the last few months. The selection at the Yonge & Dundas location is amazing with full ranges from brands I like to use such as Bioderma and Vichy. I was also able to get a consultation for product recommendations that could help with the temporary changes I’m facing!
As soon as I walked into the new Shoppers Drug Mart location at Yonge and Dundas, I was intrigued by the Quo tools wall. They have a nice range of brushes out for display so you can test the bristles. Something I didn’t realize until later was that when you touch a certain brush, a video demo goes up on the screen so you’re able to see how to use that particular item. How cool is that?! They’ve also kept all the tools in this area for you to easily grab what you need and be on your way.
There were SO many things I wanted to purchase, especially after seeing all the brands this Shoppers Drug Mart carries. These are the three highly coveted items I went home with that I’ve been eager to try:
- GLAMGLOW Glitter Mask GravityMud Firming Treatment
- Urban Decay Born to Run Eyeshadow Palette
- Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink, shade “Voyager” (doesn’t it look perfect for fall?!)
Have you tried any of the items above? I’d love to hear your thoughts on them!
