Believe it or not, I test out new beauty products almost daily. Whether it’s a foundation all the gurus are raving about, a cream that promises your wrinkles will diminish instantly, or a blush I randomly grab at the drugstore because I decide to attend an event last minute!
Since I can’t always find the time to write dedicated reviews for every product I try, I am creating this new series to share a round-up of FOUR items that have been a staple for me each month.
Why four?
Here’s the thing — I want to talk about items that I have genuinely been using and loving for some time, not a cleanser I tried once & enjoyed but never touched again. Keeping my list at a maximum of four items gives me a chance to think about what is truly something I’ve been loving and can’t currently live without, and gives YOU the chance to digest the information + try the items out for yourself without breaking the bank. 4 is also my favourite number. 🙂
Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser: A few months ago Pixi launched its rose collection, and the one item worth mentioning is this cleanser! It’s effectiveness comes from the mineral rich mud that cleanses and strengthens the skin. However, the formula is SO soft and gentle due to a combination of aloe vera and chamomile. It is literally a blended creamy smoothie… I wish I could drink it all up. Don’t even get me started on the smell; it’s chic and feminine, but not the type that makes you want to run away.
Olay Eyes Brightening Eye Cream: It’s difficult to believe when brands tell you that you can expect to see results within a week… but that is 100% the case for this eye cream. I was in desperate need for a new one to use after finishing my IT Cosmetics eye cream, and was pleasantly surprised at how quickly I began to notice a difference! For a sleep deprived mama, this has become a new skincare bestie for me. I don’t always have time to put makeup on, even if it’s just a bit of concealer, so knowing that this eye cream works effectively over time to brighten my under eye area is fabulous!
Too Faced Peach Perfect Matte Foundation (shade ‘Golden Beige’): This product has literally everything I look for in a foundation: mattefying, oil-free and creates a smooth flawless finish without feeling too cakey. It took me forever to finally try it out, and now I’m obsessed. I even wear it in the summer time! I love a matte complexion that is enhanced with highlight and other products to bring dewiness back, and if you enjoy something similar then I highly recommend you try out this foundation!
Morphe Matte Liquid Lipstick (shade ‘Suspect’): I’ve been wearing this lippie everyday since I got it back in the spring. I love the matte texture, the colour stays on the lips for quite a while, and the best part? I can kiss Zak (my baby) without getting the product on him or the lipstick smuding all over me! It’s a win-win-win. I definitely want to pick up some more colours of this formula, but this shade works with any makeup look!
